The global pandemic Covid-19 has caused regrettable problems among charity organizations all over the world. In Kenya, serious illness- including death- has occurred, especially among those with extreme underlying health conditions.
Orphans and vulnerable children, widows and even the old here are faced with double tragedy since the government has declared lockdown as measure to contain this virus. They are suffering due to lack of food and other basic essential services.
As an organization working among the poor communities in Kenya, we have vulnerable believers, OVCs, widows and the aged under our support programmes who are facing hardship during this time. We are praying and faithfully waiting upon the Lord for His provision.
We are proposing to target 600 children within our 2 project sites- Homa Bay and Kiambio slums, Nairobi. Our prayer is to obtain food, facemasks, and sanitizers that we will distribute through our distribution station within our project site.
